7/5/2010 - MONDAYS 5 PM 72.00 for 6 weeks or $15 p/class Qigong is a self healing art that combines movement and meditation. It is known as acupuncture without the needles, as this practice activates the energy meridians of the body that feed all the vital systems of the body. Visualizations are employed to enhance the mind-body connection, raise energy, increase flexibility, mental focus and assist healing. Regular practice of qigong can prevent and treat illness, reduce stress, establish balance, strength, and integration of body, mind, and spirit. Leave feeling gently stretched, energized and peaceful. All levels welcome. Jeannie Heroux, as nurse practitioner, has been Practicing Tai Chi Chu’an throughout the years, studied with David Silver (Cape Cod Qigong); and has been involved in seminars with Dr. Yang, Jwing Ming (Yang Martial Arts Association in Jamaica Plain) and Dr. Aihan Kuhn (New England School of Tai Chi and author of “Simple Chinese Medicine”), completing Qigong Instructor certification program and Advanced Qigong Instructor certification program. She also developed the Massachusetts Association of Registered Nurses (MARN) continuing education units program for the Qigong Instructor’s course in collaboration with Dr. Aihan Kuhn, so that the Qigong Instructor course could be offered to Registered Nurses for CEU course credits through Dr. Kuhn. |
